New Player Guide
A first-session path for learning the Sidekick Wars objective, cards, mana, and match rhythm.
Primary Goal Destroy every enemy base tower and the enemy Keep. Every play should defend yours or pressure theirs.
First Habit Spend mana with a purpose. Waiting is often stronger than playing the first card you can afford.
First Deck Mix cheap pressure, defenders, control, and one expensive payoff instead of filling the deck with only attackers.
Learn In This Order
- Read the objective. Start with the Game Overview, then check how the Keep ends the match.
- Understand the board. Review Arenas and Towers so you know where pressure comes from.
- Build a simple deck. Use the Deck Building guide before chasing rare or expensive cards.
- Practice mana timing. Learn when to wait, defend, and punish in Mana Timing.
- Turn defense into pressure. Use Defense And Pushes to convert surviving units into objective damage.
In-Game Tutorial Flow
The tutorial currently calls mana “Gems.” It leads a new player through these 12 steps:

- Mine extra mana with the pickaxe.
- Select and deploy a card.
- Destroy the opposing Towers and Keep to win.
- Unlock the hangout.
- Open the first earned crate.
- Open the deck builder.
- Open the Mini Pass.
- Queue for the next match.
- Complete the tutorial.
First Cards To Study
Common Early Mistakes
- Playing every card as soon as you can afford it, leaving no mana for defense.
- Sending single expensive cards into prepared towers without support.
- Using spells on one weak target when an enemy group is about to form.
- Ignoring summoned units because they are not normal deck cards.
- Forgetting that both the Keep and every base tower must be destroyed.
