Defense And Pushes
Turn defensive stops into counterattacks and create safer windows to pressure towers and the Keep.
Defend Efficiently Stop threats with fewer resources than the enemy spent, then use surviving units as your next push.
Protect The Push One strong attacker is easier to stop than a supported group with control or healing behind it.
Pressure Buildings Victory requires every enemy base tower and the enemy Keep.
Defense To Counterattack
- Let towers help. Place defenders where your Towers can add damage.
- Stop the highest-value threat. Use control, area damage, or blockers on the unit that makes the push dangerous.
- Keep survivors alive. Healing, slow, freeze, or stun effects can preserve units that become the counterpush.
- Add pressure behind survivors. Support the units that already crossed the board instead of starting over from nothing.
- Lock or burst the tower. Use tower pressure, area damage, or status effects when the enemy defense is thin.
Cards That Teach The Pattern
Doodle Doo Defends lanes with range and turns protected space into control. Phantom Guffpup Creates bodies and slow pressure that can survive into a counterattack. Ice Prince Creates a short tower shutdown window when a push is ready to connect. Heal Potion Rewards grouped allied units that survived the first exchange.
Push Checklist
- Do you have a unit that can take tower attention?
- Can you answer enemy defenders that hit flying or ranged units?
- Is your spell timing ready for the enemy response?
- Will adding one more support card matter more than saving mana?
- Can this push reach a remaining objective, or should you reset and defend?
